Lengkuas Island located in north of The TanjungBinga Village, Tanjung Pandan City, Belitung Region, Province of Bangka Belitung. The tourists could rent boats from Tanjung Binga, Tanjung Kelayang, or Tanjung Tinggi to reach this island. Travel time from The Belitung Island to The Lengkuas Island about 40 minutes by boat. The cost of the boats were different, depended on the deal, the cost was about Rp 400.000 for 10 passengers generally. The sailing to The Lengkuas Island spent about 40 until 60 minutes when the wave was hospitable. The sailing was not boring because there were pretty views which captured by the travelers who loved photography. During the sailing to the small island, you could see the amazing Belitung and the small islands around.
There was a Lengkuas Island Lighthouse in this island which was a heritage of Dutch Colonial Government. It was built in 1882. Although this lighthouse is very old, this 12 floors lighthouse was still tough. I could see the real old condition of this lighthouse when I stepped the rusty stairs. The atmosphere of the lighthouse was horrifying for me, I didn’t know why, because was alone, perhaps. I stepped the staircases one by one. The horrifying feeling was gone when I arrived the the top floor. I could enjoy The beautiful scenery from the uppermost floor. The blue sea water, the whitish granites and the green small islands spoiled my eyes. The sunny weather is perfect for taking the pictures.
In the top floor of the lighthouse the visitors could see the scenery from entire the angles, 360 degrees. All of sceneries was beautiful, the blue color of the sea dominated the views. If you took a look under the lighthouse, you would see the greenery of this island. Only three persons who lived in the Island, they were the lighthouse keepers. The lighthouse is used to guide many ships that sail in the night. The rain is the only water source in this island. Why did they didn’t filter the sea water? The sea water was plentiful. The people explained that to get a gallon of plain water was complicated. They need 100 liters of sea water to make it. So they had to use the water wisely. The place was enjoyable, the wind blew slowly. Sunbathing and took a rest on the with sand and covered by the coconut trees were possible.
There were many granites around the island that met when you were taking a walk. The granites structures were unique and different with other island, it was combined with the white sand and greenery. The sea water was clean so that you could see the fishes swam under the sea. The rocks were various, they were as big as a dining table, or a car. It was amazing.

The Island was quite in the morning so that you can enjoy the calm condition at the time. The island began to be crowded in the noon, because the visitors picnicked in this Island. I would miss to vacation to Lengkuas Island.
